<p><strong>The Artist</strong> is a story composed by the Japanese writer <strong>Shiga Naoya.</strong> This story shows the old thinking of <strong>teachers</strong> and <strong>parents</strong> toward the students. The teacher and parents think that <strong>spending time outside of study is only wasted time.</strong> In this story, <strong>Seibei is a twelve years old </strong>school going student who was very <strong>passionately</strong> interested in collecting <strong>gourds.</strong> He is not interested in <strong>studying</strong> and<strong> playing</strong> with the students. After class, he usually wondered about the town looking for gourds. He would sit <strong>cross-legged</strong> in the corner of the living room working on his newly <strong>acquired fruit.</strong> He used to walk <strong>everywhere in the search of gourds</strong> but his father didn’t like his son’s work<br>whatever <strong>Seibel was doing.</strong> He wanted his son to <strong>give up</strong> this unwanted war. <strong>Seibei’s father</strong> didn’t want to listen to any complaints from his son. One day Seibei purchases an attractive gourd from an old woman and goes to school with it. He starts polishing it under<br>his desk but Seibel is caught <strong>red-handed</strong> by his <strong>class teacher.</strong> The teacher became very <strong>angry with Seibei.</strong> The teacher took the gourd with him and followed Seibei to his home and <strong>complained to his parents against Seibei.</strong> The parents of Seibei scolded him very badly and broke all the gourds. At last, by force he made him give up that work and those things. <strong>Thus we see that the teacher and parents didn’t care for the interest of the child. </strong>This is an injustice to <strong>children.</strong></p>

<p><strong>“I Have a Dream”</strong> is a<strong> speech</strong> delivered by <strong>Martin Luther King</strong>, Jr on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC on <strong>August 28, 1963.</strong> Here he speaks about his dream of seeing America as a developed country.<strong> He wants his country free from the racial distinction between the whites and the black.</strong> The speech brings a great change in the country. King himself was established as one of the greatest <strong>orators</strong> of the world. In his speech, he requests his audience to maintain peace and conduct their movement with dignity. He reminds the authority of his promises that were made one hundred years ago. He parents the poor and bad condition of the negro slaves. They live in <strong>slums</strong> and <strong>ghettos. They are deprived of their right to vote.</strong> <strong>They are cruelly treated by the police. </strong>They have lost all hope of life. He demands that they must be now provided with their rights if America wants to be a great nation. Lastly, he says that there will be <strong>freedom</strong> and<strong> justice</strong> everywhere. Incoming generations will not be judged by the <strong>colour of their skin</strong> but by the context of their character. There is hope for a transformed situation where all black people <strong>will be able to join hands with all the white people and walk.</strong></p>
